I decided to walk with my friend and my roommate. Our journey took several hours.
We started at the Pratt Hall Street gate. Our intention was to walk
South--which was a direction none of us had gone before. Usually we just
walk East, West, or North from this point, but never South. We also agreed
to not look at the mas on our phone unless we absolutely had to.
After four blocks we reached Gates Avenue and because none of us had ever
walked down it before, we decided to just keep walking and see what we
see. Eventually our group got hungry, so we stopped at this Vietnamese
place called Lucy's Vietnamese. It was delicious!
From here we decided to go North and zig-zag back and forth. When we
reached Home Depot we recognized where we were and decided to stop at my
friend's apartment on Myrtle. Her apartment is across the street from a
playground, so after hanging out for a bit, we decided our next rule was
to walk down Myrtle until we found another green area. We alll knew that
Fort Greene was at the end, but we were curious if there was another area
to see along the way.
We reached Fort Greene and sat down for a bit, then decided to head South
with the same rule. We stopped at Cuyler Gore Park--which is much smaller
than Fort Greene--and at this point we were all tired, so we decided to go
home.
